Summer 2023: Intermediate Hand Building with Hairuo Yi, Thursdays, 9:30am

Students will work on a variety of projects with a primary focus on form. Hairuo will guide students in the development of fluid and varied forms with a sculptural approach.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: This class will focus on form and refinement while learning to see and control the details that matter.
Materials Included: The class fee includes aprons, towels, and a shelf for your clay and supplies.
Requirements: Students must have good basic hand building skills.To protect our kilns, clay must be purchased form our shop. We have our own studio glazes for you to use, and we have a wide variety of commercials glazes available. We do not allow any other glazes or underglazes to be used on pots we are to fire for you. Your are welcome to bring your own tools or buy new ones in our shop.
Instructor: Hairuo Yi
Instructor Bio: Hairuo started learning ceramics in a functional approach, from Tom Clarkson at PVCC and later became more interested in exploring sculptural designs. She is known for her delicate sculptural forms.
The class fee includes 8 class session, aprons, towels, a shelf for supplies and projects, and open studio time to come in and work.
