In this 2.5 hour session students will be introduced to basic wheel skills while making lots of funny mistakes and big messes—there’s no way around it. It’s just mud, which, through a bit of alchemy you will turn into something useful, cute, beautiful, or hilarious. So fun! After the workshop is over, we will dry your work, trim it, fire it, glaze it and fire it again for pick up in about two to three weeks. All the materials and tools you need will be provided just wear comfy clothes and bring your sense of humor.

Instructor Bio: | Malenka Luckett has been making pots at City Clay since 2015, where she is currently the Studio Manager. She has a BA in Studio Art and Art History from Ashland University and an MFA in Printmaking from Ohio State University where she also taught in the studio art foundations program. Outside of the studio, Malenka spends her time gardening, camping, and paddling the rivers of Central Virginia. |
