Students will work on a variety of multi-faceted projects with a focus on form and surface. Students are free to work independently if they prefer.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: For intermediate and advanced students who want to be challenged with new and complex projects. Students can work at their own pace.
Materials Included: The class fee includes aprons, towels, and a shelf for your clay and supplies.
Requirements: This class is only for experienced hand builders with good skills. To protect our kilns, clay must be purchased from our shop. We have our own studio glazes for you to use, and we have a wide variety of commercials glazes available. We do not allow any other glazes or underglazes on pots we are to fire for you. Your are welcome to bring your own tools or buy new ones in our shop.
Instructor: Steve Palmer
Instructor Bio: My passion for working in clay took off while I was a Studio Member of the South County Art Association. The opportunity to work and teach in a creative, supportive environment, surrounded by artists for me is the ideal. I received my B.F.A. from Rhode Island College, and studied sculpture in Italy at the Tuscan Renaissance Center. As a member of SCAA and City Clay, I continue to explore the many forms and functions of clay. Through teaching, I hope to share and ignite the same passion and excitement in my students that I have for the ceramic form.
