Instructor Bio: | Originally from Charlottesville, VA, Ed Miller holds an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has been a dedicated faculty member at Piedmont Virginia Community College since 2017, teaching ceramics and various other art courses, and extends his teaching to Virginia prisons, where incarcerated students earn college degrees. From 2021-2022, he taught all levels of Sculpture at UVA and designed special topics courses in ceramics. Ed's artistic focus on figurative ceramic sculpture has evolved with his public art projects, incorporating durable materials like concrete and steel.
