WINTER 2025: Basic Hand Building with Hairuo Yi, 8 weeks, Wednesdays 9:30am - 12:00pm; January 15 - March 5
Hand Building is the best way to start learning about clay. Not only will you be designing from the first day, but you will develop a feel for clay and what can be done at different stages in the drying process. Ancient and modern techniques and tools will be used to create a variety of pots that are both useful and decorative. Exciting textures and even sculptural forms will be explored for decorating you work. You will also learn how to glaze pots with our food-safe glazes.
