WINTER 2025: Multi-level Wheel with Becky Garrity, 10 weeks, Wednesdays 9:30am - 12:00pm; January 8 - March 12

Becky will tailor the class to the needs of individuals and the group including review of basic skills as needed, refinement of skills for experienced students, and lessons on more complex processes for those who are ready. A mixed group of students is a great opportunity for new students to learn, and for returning students to work on their own level and at their own pace.

Skill Level:	Intermediate
Skill Details:	Students will work on refining their basic skills, developing new skills and working on more complex forms. Students work at their level and pace.
Materials Included:	The class fee includes aprons, towels, a shelf for your clay and supplies.
Requirements:	To protect our kilns, clay must be purchased from our shop. We have our own studio glazes for you to use, and we have a wide variety of commercials glazes available. We do not allow any other glazes or underglazes on pots we are to fire for you. Your are welcome to bring your own tools or buy new ones in our shop. Beginners may borrow some studio tools when available, all others are asked to have their own.
Instructor:	Becky Garrity
Instructor Bio:	Becky studied sculpture and ceramics at the College of William and Mary, followed by a two-year pottery apprenticeship in Okinawa, Japan. She teaches pottery in several different settings including Innisfree Village where she works with adults with differing abilities. Becky recently switched to a white stoneware clay effectively brightening her glazes. Becky's designs are aesthetically pleasing, with the forms reflecting her experience and interest in all things Asian. Lately, she is carving wavelike images on the pottery surfaces expanding the tactile and visual interest of each piece. BA Studio Art, College of William and Mary.
