WINTER 2025: Multi-Level Wheel with Margaret Schermerhorn, 10 weeks, Saturdays, 1:00 - 3:30pm; January 11 - March 15

Margaret will tailor the class to the needs of individuals and the group including review of basic skills as needed, refinement of skills for experienced students, and lessons on more complex processes for those who are ready. A mixed group of students is a great opportunity for new students to learn, and for returning students to work on their own level and at their own pace.

Skill Level:	Intermediate
Skill Details:	Students will work on refining their basic skills, developing new skills and working on more complex forms. Students work at their level and pace.
Materials Included:	The class fee includes aprons, towels, and a shelf for your clay and supplies.
Requirements:	To protect our kiln clay must be purchased form our shop. We have our own studio glazes for you to use, and we have a wide variety of commercials glazes available.. We do not allow any other glazes or underglazes to be used in our kilns. Your are welcome to bring your own tools or buy new ones in our shop. Beginners may borrow some studio tools, all others are asked to have their own.
Instructor:	Margaret Schermerhorn
Instructor Bio:	Margaret got her BFA in Craft and Materials Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University before heading off to South Korea for a year of teaching English at a ceramic art high school in the city of Icheon. When she returned to the US, she started work at City Clay growing her knowledge of clay and teaching exponentially. With a passion for wheel work and a love of symmetry one of Margaret's favorite things to do on clay is carved geometric designs.

This 10-week class meets once a week and includes includes practice clay, an aprons, towels, a shelf supplies and projects.
