SUMMER 2025: Design Space with Randy Bill, 7 weeks, Wednesdays, 1:00 - 3:30pm, July 2 - August 13

We will look at other mediums that use vessels as their main subjects and some that skip function altogether. All art and craft is really about learning to see and to understand what you see in this nonverbal language. Why do some pots feel more successful or interesting than others, even when they are similar? What do you see now in the first pot you made, that you didn’t see when you made it. From this will come challenges to focus on and explore bold dynamic forms with known and possibly inventive processes. We will dive into the elements and principles of design to see how they play out in the pottery and sculptures you will make. Take this only if you have good skills and are looking to expand your creativity.
