Summer 2019—Practical Glaze Making with Judd Jarvis, W 6:30-9:00
What is a glaze? How can you control what happens in the firing? Do you want to make your own glazes? This class will cover safety issues, the composition of clay and glaze, mixing established recipes, melting various materials, making glazes from scratch, and testing—lots of testing. Fear not, this is a lot more fun than your high school chemistry class.
Prerequisite: students should be on an intermediate to advanced level.
