Hand building is the foundation from which any budding ceramic artist can grow. We will cover the traditional pillars of slab, coil, and pinch, but I'll try to leave any ancient rules behind. The secret sauce is learning how to form each individually and then moving to combine different techniques together.
This class is for anyone looking for a fun and straightforward approach to clay, the less preconceived notions the better! We will follow our works from a bag of clay through the firing, glazing and finishing process allowing students to learn the many steps in the ceramic process with confidence.?
