Throwing a single-form pot has its limits based on your skill level, and on the limits of what clay can do. Constructing pots from parts thrown on the wheel or even hand-built and then combined is not only great fun but it greatly expands the design possibilities. Students in this class will explore ways to design and make more architectural pots with interesting surfaces and unexpected and exciting parts. We will consider lanterns, vases and lidded jars or boxes.

Pre-requisites
Good basic wheel skills including the ability to center and pull an 8-inch cylinder.?
